'Angry Women Drivers' claim fuel heated online debate

'Angry Women Drivers' claim fuel heated online debate
Netizens in Malaysia are split in their opinions over a five-year Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) study that found women drivers to be angrier than their male counterparts.
Many took offence at the fact that MIROS decided to focus on the gender angle to present its report.
"Wonder why they did a research to differentiate between gender? How about age & experience? Would like to read the report," noted Gee MSham on Facebook.
@cik_siti_senget took a more sarcastic jab at Miros on Twitter, "I've always doubted their method of conducting surveys, but that's just a woman's opinion."
There were also those who felt that they could see where Miros was coming from, even if they disagreed with who to put the blame on..
In Twitterjaya @chaoching admits that women get emotionally angry, they just "honk and that's it. Men will tailgate/cut line/slam brakes, putting drivers at risk".
Elis Qhalila Yap finds men more gentlemanly when giving way to others: "Some women drivers are teragak-agak (hesitant) when (it's their turn) to go out of junctions or roundabouts. Sorry if I offended fellow women," she posted on Facebook.
Some like Cheryll Ng on Facebook took Miros to task for the length of time it took to present the results of the study stating that that she could have drawn the same conclusion in less than five minutes.
And finally there were those like Jessica Cheah who openly questioned if Miros had gotten their priorities skewed and wasted precious resources in preparing a misguided study.
"Spend the money on law enforcement instead since you can name the cause which gets the drivers riled up!"
