PETALING JAYA – Movie producer David Teo, who was involved in a minor scuffle in front of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, has moved on and holds no grudge against comedian Sulaiman Yassin over the incident.
Teo said he told Najib that he had forgiven Sulaiman, better known as Mat Over, with an open heart.
“I informed the Prime Minister that I did not see it coming. I also told the Prime Minister that I forgive him (Sulaiman), when I shook the Prime Minister’s hands,” Teo told mStar Online on Thursday.
Teo was commenting over the scuffle that took place during a National Transformation (TN50) programme dialogue session at Seri Perdana late Wednesday night.
While it is not known why Sulaiman was aggressive towards Teo, it is believed that he was unhappy at the manner in which Teo was speaking with Najib.

Security personnel quickly separated Teo and Sulaiman and escorted them out.
Teo and Sulaiman were later brought in, where they shook hands and embraced in front of the Prime Minister.
A video of the incident went viral on social media.
Teo, who is Metrowealth Pictures chief executive officer, explained that he was actually talking to the moderator of the programme Datuk Rosyam Nor.
“It was not my intention to be rude to the Prime Minister. I just told Rosyam some of the participants were not given equal chance (to talk). I have yet to talk to the Prime Minister. So I have no problem with anybody.
“How can I be rude to the Prime Minister?” he asked.
Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz urged all parties to move on from the incident.
Nazri said that although what occurred was unfortunate, he believed that it happened on the spur of the moment.
“It is a personal issue between the two of them. We should all move on and take only important lessons from what happened,” he said.
Nazri added that it is good that the parties involved reconciled at the end of the event.
“Sometimes, these things do happen and it is just between the two of them,” he said.
