Get your facts right, PAS tells Anwar

PAS has criticised jailed former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim over the latter's speech, which was read out by his daughter Nurul Izzah during the PKR congress over the weekend.
In a media statement today, the Islamist party's information chief Nasrudin Hassan said Anwar must learn to tell the difference between "perception and reality".
Anwar had accused PAS of no longer being interested in criticising Umno over unpopular policies, such as the GST as well as the increase in fuel and sugar prices.
He also noted that PAS did not participate in the last Bersih rally.
Describing the accusations as being "far from reality", Nasrudin said PAS has been consistent in voicing out against the GST.
The Temerloh lawmaker cited an article by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang dated Jan 9, 2014 which he said explained PAS' stand on the tax.
"The question should instead be posed to Anwar and PKR - are they really against the implementation of the GST?" he said.
Didn't Anwar back GST in '93
Anwar, he claimed, placed certain conditions on the implementation of GST while Nurul, in a blog post last month, said the GST should not have been implemented in a haste.
"During the tabling of the budget in 1993, Anwar (who was then finance minister) stressed that the GST must be implemented in a transparent and efficient manner," said Nasrudin.
As for PAS' purported lack of objection to the increase in prices, he wondered how Anwar failed to come across the numerous statements made by PAS leaders on this matter.
"It's the same with statements by PAS leaders who objected to PAS collaborating with Umno. Sadly, many leaders from other political parties talk as though they represent PAS' stand and others, in turn, believe in what they say," he added.

Nasrudin then claimed that Anwar has been using PAS' name to make various allegations.
"PAS wants to remind Anwar that it is consistent in each of its political action. How did Anwar fail to receive the right information about PAS?
"Either his political reading does not reflect reality or PKR leaders have failed to give him the right information, and provided him with their own perceptions," he said.- Mkini
