DAP MP denies meeting KL mayor regarding eDrive app

DAP lawmaker Lim Lip Eng has denied that Kuala Lumpur mayor Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz had met him last year to discuss the Kuala Lumpur City Hall's (DBKL) traffic information mobile application, eDrive.
Lim dismissed a Bernama report quoting Mhd Amin saying as such, as "fake news".
"The application was launched in July. It's impossible for him to meet me last year to talk about this issue.
"He must have mistaken me with other Lims from MCA or Gerakan," Lim said in a press conference at the DAP's headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
When asked about the report again later, Lim again denied that the meeting had taken place and joked that he probably has "a twin".
DAP vice-president Teresa Kok who was also at the press conference today, pointed out that the once regular meetings held among Mhd Amin, Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Federal Territories MPs have not transpired in recent times.
"We have not received an invitation to attend the meeting for more than half a year.
"When they don't meet us, there's a reason we have a press conference and go to the MACC.
Kok believes that no meeting has been held thus far as the lawmakers would be complaining about various issues, the increasing number of high-rise structures in Kuala Lumpur, among them.

Lim yesterday urged the MACC to look into why RM2.9 million of taxpayers' money was used to develop the app.
When contacted, Mhd Amin confirmed the RM2.9 million price tag but said he was “not worried” about the MACC report.
eDrive, a “journey-planning” app, provides real-time traffic images from 40 cameras stationed in limited areas of the city including Jalan Mahameru, Jalan Syed Putra and the KL-Seremban Highway. All information is linked to the existing Integrated Transportation Management System (Itis). - Mkini
