From RM42 Billion 1MDB To RM160 Billion BNM

On 13th December 2014, Mahathir asked Khairuddin to lodge a police report alleging that 1MDB lost RM42 billion. Today, Mahathir asked Mohd Hanizam to lodge a police report alleging that Bank Negara lost RM160 billion. Mahathir hopes the RM160 billion Bank Negara issue can replace the RM42 billion 1MDB issue to bring Najib down since the 1MDB issue failed to do so after three long years.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been advised by his friends and family that it is already game over. After three years of attacking, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is still in office when he was supposed to have been ousted within just six months.
Mahathir started the ball rolling on 13th December 2014 by asking Khairuddin Abu Hassan to lodge a police report against 1MDB. The allegation was that Najib had stolen RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money. When that did not work Mahathir changed the allegation to ‘RM50 billion or maybe even more’ and then, later, reduced the figure to RM2.6 billion.

Khairuddin’s police report on 13th December 2014 was supposed to bring Najib down within six months but it failed

Three years on and Mahathir has dumped the entire 1MDB issue because whatever was alleged have all been proven false. 1MDB is actually making money and is not bankrupt as Mahathir alleged while its assets are higher than its liabilities. And which company does not have liabilities? The question is whether 1MDB’s liabilities are higher than its assets, which would then make it technically bankrupt. In this case 1MDB’s assets are higher than its liabilities.
The 1MDB issue was the weapon to force Najib to resign in July 2015. Then it was supposed to oust Najib in a vote of no confidence in Parliament in October 2015. Then it was supposed to oust Najib during the Umno annual assembly in December 2015.

The 1MDB issue was supposed to have ousted Najib 30 months ago but he just refuses to fall

Umno has held three annual assemblies since then and Najib is still in power and is getting stronger by the day. The 1MDB issue has not worked. If it can work it would have worked more than two years ago. The window to bring Najib down was between March and July 2015. The window remained slightly open for another three months but in October 2015 it closed for good. And Mahathir somehow does not seem to realise this.
The launch of the attack on 1MDB three years ago on 13th December 2014 is history, only to be remembered but not to be repeated. So Mahathir needs to bury the 1MDB issue and bring up another issue to replace it. And this month, December 2017, is the month that is happening.

Mahathir’s cyber-trooper, Mohd Hanizam, whose job is to spin, spin and spin

Mahathir asked Pakatan Harapan blogger Mohd Hanizam Yunus to launch the new attack to replace the 1MDB issue by making a police report against Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). On 13th December 2014 it was a police report against 1MDB and on 15th December 2017 it is a police report against Bank Negara Malaysia. So please note those two very auspicious dates.
While Khairuddin’s police report on 13th December 2014 alleged that 1MDB lost RM42 billion, Mohd Hanizam’s police report today alleges that Bank Negara lost RM160 billion between 2013 and 2016 and that this loss is far higher than the forex losses of RM31.5 billion (now worth RM100 billion) between 1988 and 1994

Mahathir has taken on DYMM the Sultan of Selangor as well and Pakatan Harapan’s Australian blogger, Hussein Hamid, is attacking Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on a daily basis

So there you have it. Today Mahathir said if Plan A fails he has Plan B and if Plan B fails he will launch Plan C. But what exactly are Plans A, B and C? Mahathir did not say. It is a secret plan that only Mahathir knows and which he keeps close to his chest.
If we were asked to make an educated guess then probably Plan A was 1MDB, Plan B was the DoJ (United States Department of Justice) press conference, and Plan C is the ‘RM160 billion Bank Negeri forex losses from 2013 to 2016’ police report.
Many have probably heard the saying ‘a dying man will clutch at a straw’. This saying fits Mahathir well. ‘RM160 billion Bank Negeri forex losses from 2013 to 2016’ is definitely clutching at a straw. So that would make Mahathir the dying man in that saying.
